We had a fantastic time this last weekend in the Wye Valley, starting with a lovely paddle from Kerne Bridge to Symonds Yat, then a spot of lunch at the Ferrie Inn, after lunch off down river for some orienteering and bushcraft, (watch out Ray Mears). The customers had a great time and we thoroughly enjoyed showing them what Wye Canoes & the Wye Valley have to offer…

It Looks like last night was the coldest we have been this winter, or at least it felt like it. With temperatures at 6 below this morning its time to get those fires buring. A stunning sunny day at the moment, and its a great time to explore what the area has to offer.

We had a great day out on the river Wednesday, everyone enjoyed themselves, no wind, clear skies and and not a soul around. Lots of wildlife, Peregrine Falcons, Canada Geese, fish jumping and a few hikers… A couple of the customers even decided to take a dip when we got back to base, I think they had some Eskimo in them some where..

It was a nice start last week for our first guided trips of the year. The sun put in a brief appearance and the predicted wind stayed away so we had plenty of happy faces when the customers finished their trip at Redbrook. Plenty more guided trips planned for the next few months and lots of great deals on multi-activity days like, canoeing & bushcraft available too.
Weather conditions here in Symonds Yat are a little fiesty, with the river higher than its been in quite some time and pretty strong winds its not the day for sailing…the ducks seem to be enjoying it though..
